Cupids 400 in 2010

The Summer of 2010 is an exciting one in this area. The town of Cupids, which is the site of the oldest English colony in Canada, is celebrating its 400th Anniversary! Cupids and towns all over the Northern Avalon have hundreds of special events planned, and Rose Manor is an excellent site from which to tour the region. We are only about 20 minutes from Cupids, and close to all other major communities in the area.

John Guy The Royal Couple, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall
John Guy, the first Governor of the Cupids Cove Colony, invites visitors to "Celebrate Their Legacy."
On a visit to Cupids, the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are presented by Lloyd Kane, Vice-chair of Cupids 400 with a painting of the Cupids Plantation in 1612 by local artist Hilary Cass.
