The History of Rose Manor
Located in the Historic town of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, this Second Empire Style home was built in 1878 for Thomas R. Bennett who, at the time, was the Speaker of the House of Assembly in St. John's. The house was built on ocean front property and is surrounded by one acre of beautiful gardens and large old trees including a magnificent 200-year-old cherry tree. There's plenty of room to walk, talk, relax, and enjoy the ocean view.

Your Hosts – Lucy and Kevin Haire
purchased this historical home, renovated it and turned it into a 4 1/2 Star B & B.
They named the B & B Rose Manor in honor of Kevin's mother Rose.

Lucy is fluent in Italian, enjoys cooking and baking for the guests.  She has an extensive background in interior design and takes great pride in making her home a beautiful place for her guests to relax and retreat. In addition she is warm and welcoming and truly loves to host and entertain.
