I wanted to formally thank you for the splendid eleven days I spent with you and Kevin at the Rose Manor in early September. I truly enjoyed my stay.

I loved my room overlooking the Harbour and the open sea, and the little bench across the road where I sat in the sun and watched the wild world pass by was utterly rehabilitating. Your breakfasts were just what I needed and my only regret is that I didn't give in to your offer of French Toast more often. I still drool when I think of that wonderful toast with the dusting of sugar and the piles of fresh picked blueberries and pure maple syrup. I always thought blueberries came from Loblaws; I never dreamed you would go out back and pick fresh ones every day.

I really liked the common room as well. It was so relaxing to sit there in the afternoon and luxuriate in the dreams of Harbour Grace past.

You and Kevin were exceptionally friendly and I certainly found your dreams of propelling Harbour Grace's resurgence motivating.
